WARMING FIRE LIT

Now that we have your attention, don't take that literally, but its very encouraging to see the support for this project coming thru with the donations being made.

We are off to a great start with the donations with a total at this time over $7000 in just 6 weeks. A big thanks to all those that have donated so far. We have 17 people who have donated various amounts including some of $1000.

Keep them coming as we are all very eager to get the works started, but we need to raise the $50,000 for that to happen.

Behind the scenes we have made contact with some potential companies who might be able to undertake some or all of the works to repair the boiler, one of these is Kawerau Engineering in NZ. Also just this week we have made enquires with a company closer to home and will update on progress in a later blog entry.

We also continue to evaulate where on the VGR is the best place to locate the E to work on it and enable all the other activities the railway needs to do as well. More on this as well in a future update in a couple of weeks.

Also for the near future we expect to hold some works days to sift through the storage container that has some of the parts in it, but it is an awful mess at present with all sorts of bits and pieces piled on top of each other. So keep a look out here as the more hands we have the quicker and easier it will be to get this sorted.
